Ambient lighting indoors and outdoors

Lighting that makes the evening

Light does more than make things visible. It determines whether a space feels intimate or businesslike, whether a terrace is inviting or simply lit. For hospitality, lighting is one of the most powerful tools for setting the mood, and at the same time one of the most neglected.

We design and install ambient lighting indoors and outdoors for restaurants, beach clubs, bars, hotels and cultural venues. Bespoke for each space, weatherproof where needed, with scenes for each part of the day and intuitive control.

What we do

Interior

  • Architectural spots for accent lighting on art, bar or menus
  • Indirect lighting and wall washers for atmosphere
  • Pendant fittings, linear lighting and decorative elements
  • Layered lighting plans with variable colour temperature per scene
  • Integration with audio and control on a single touch panel

Terrace and outdoor space

  • Weatherproof LED systems (IP65 or higher)
  • Pathway lighting, accents on plants or architecture, terrace catenary spans
  • Corrosion-resistant materials for coastal locations
  • UV-resistant components that keep their colour for years
  • Automatic timing to sunset, twilight switches

Bar and club zones

  • Dynamic LED systems with colour and effects
  • Moving heads for special moments or weekend events
  • Wash effects for atmospheric wall lighting
  • DMX control for those who want to programme it themselves, or simple scene control
  • Synchronisation with audio for extra impact

Scenes and control A morning scene with fresh, bright light. An afternoon scene with a warmer accent. A dinner scene with intimate spots. An after-hours scene with dynamic bar effects. All pre-programmed and controllable from a single panel or tablet.

Which brands we work with

For architecture and interiors: high-quality LED fittings from manufacturers designed for 24/7 hospitality use. For dynamic lighting in clubs and bars: Robe, Chauvet Lighting, CLS and Showtec, depending on budget and ambition. For outdoor lighting: IP65+ certified systems that are corrosion-resistant.

Approach

We start with a site visit where we look at what you want to achieve, the existing interior, the structural situation and any collaboration with your architect or interior designer. On that basis we produce a lighting plan with product choice, placement and a scene proposal.

For new builds or major renovations we are glad to work with the architect so we can incorporate the lighting into the design. For existing locations we look for the solution that delivers the most impact with minimal structural work.

Frequently asked questions

For a simple terrace with weatherproof lighting and automatic switching: from 1,500 euro. For a complete interior plan with scenes and control: 5,000 to 25,000 euro depending on scale. For beach clubs and large hospitality projects it rises higher. Request a specific proposal.

Gladly. The earlier we are around the table, the better we can incorporate the lighting into the design. Many architects and designers appreciate working with a lighting specialist who also handles the practical delivery.

We work with IP65 or higher for outdoor lighting, with corrosion-resistant materials for coastal locations. For Mondi Beach Club and Baoase Luxury Resort on Curaçao we have installed systems that can withstand years of sun, salt and rain.

Yes. We often work with integrated control where a single scene drives both lighting and audio. Lunch scene: calm light, background music. Dinner scene: intimate light, ambient music. After-hours: dynamic light, louder music.

We work almost exclusively with LED. For a typical hospitality venue, switching from halogen or conventional to LED means 60 to 80% lower energy consumption.

Yes. From festoon and string lights on terraces to designer fittings that suit the interior. We work with various suppliers depending on the concept.

We can often do a terrace in 1 or 2 days. A complete interior plan with wiring and control takes 3 to 10 working days, depending on whether we can work with the structure still open.

DMX-based installations are easy to expand. Adding an extra moving head or wash effect can often be done without major work. We advise planning enough rigging points and cabling in advance during the first installation.
