From a mixing desk in 1999 to DANTE networks on Curaçao
We have been around since 1999. We started with sound for parties and concerts in Rotterdam and grew into complete event productions, international artists and permanent installations in hospitality, retail and corporate. What has stayed the same: technology that works, a team that picks up when you call, and the belief that no project is too ambitious.
Our milestones
1999: Massive Pro AV founded by Bjorn Ecury. First commissions in event sound and smaller permanent installations in Rotterdam.
2005: First international concert production. Juan Luis Guerra, a name we went on to work with again in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
2007: First productions in the Caribbean (Curaçao and Aruba). The start of what has become a lasting collaboration with partners on the islands.
2008: First concerts with El Gran Combo, followed by their 50th anniversary concert in 2012 as our own event.
2009-2018: Aruba Dag annually with complete production management: sound (D&B Audio), lighting, video, rigging, special effects, backline, stage and stage management.
2010-2024: Curaçao North Sea Jazz, annual production management support for Mojo (two of the three stages).
2013: Juan Luis Guerra concert at Sportpaleis Ahoy. The start of the Boogieball North Sea Jazz afterparties at BIRD Rotterdam (until 2019).
2014: Sean Paul + live band concert at Uithof Den Haag. Full production including sound, lighting, video (LED screens), rigging, special effects, backline, stage and stage management.
2015: Marc Anthony concert at Sportpaleis Ahoy. Pal Mundo Festival in collaboration with Alda Events, a partnership that ran annually until 2019.
2015-2022: Latin Weekender, complete technical production every edition.
2018, 2019: Aruba Island Take Over Festival (production and stage management with Elite Entertainment Aruba).
2019, 2020: Tabula Rasa Festival, complete production and stage management in co-production with Alda Events.
2022, 2023: Reggae Rotterdam Festival. First in the Kralingse Bos, then at Ahoy for 25,000 people.
2023, 2024: Keti Koti Festival Rotterdam with multiple stages in the city centre.
Since 2024: Growing focus on permanent installations. Ongoing expansion of the AUDAC Certified Partnership, new hospitality projects on Curaçao (Mondi Beach Club, Baoase Luxury Resort) and in the Netherlands (Ter Marsch, BIRD, R-Port Beach Club).
What has stayed the same, what has changed
The same: the belief that technology is not an end but a means. The attention to finishing and handover. The habit of picking up when you call.
Changed: the scale and the complexity. In 1999 we mainly did sound for 200 people. Now we do hospitality projects with DANTE networks, international concerts at Sportpaleis Ahoy and digital signage networks in retail chains.
Changed: the technology itself. From analogue mixing desks to DANTE over ethernet. From halogen lighting to moving heads and LED. From projectors to 24-metre LED walls. We keep pace with what is possible.

What we have learned from this
Three things we know by now:
Backup is not a luxury. If a single microphone, a single signal, a single component is crucial to your show, then you have a spare ready. Full stop.
Communication is half the work. A crew that doesn’t know the schedule works less well than a crew that does. A customer who doesn’t know what is going to happen gets nervous. Communicate clearly, often, and at the right level.
Service is what you do once the quote has already been invoiced. The real difference between a supplier and a partner lies in what happens after handover. Maintenance, support, solving problems, responding quickly. That is what customers have been working on with us for 25 years.
Where we are heading
We keep growing in permanent installations. Hospitality, retail, corporate. We are expanding the AUDAC partnership. We do more maintenance and NEN 3140 inspections. And we simply keep delivering good event productions for anyone who comes to us for festivals, concerts and corporate events.
No plan to be a holding company with 200 staff in 10 years’ time. But every plan to give customers exactly the same feeling in 10 years as we do now.
