At Massive Pro AV we’re proud to have done the fixed audio installation for Mondi Beach Club. This impressive beach club gives visitors a unique experience, with beautiful views every day from its central location.
Mondi Beach Club Curaçao is in Willemstad, next to the Corendon Mangrove Beach Curaçao Resort and the Mangrove Nature Park, right in front of the cruise terminal with its 2 mega piers for cruise ships.
The beach club has 2 pavilions with a Caribbean Fusion restaurant, a round pool bar where you can order cocktails straight from the pool, and above it a large round DJ booth for the best musical vibes. There’s a big T-shaped pool for a refreshing dip, and a beachfront with large palapas where you can chill with a drink, a bite and excellent AUDAC sound. There’s also a large sundeck beach with palapas and loungers for soaking up the Curaçao sun. Everything is arranged around the pool.
The sound design
We created a sound design in which the volume can be adjusted per zone, taking into account the wind, events, the daily Beach Day, the Caribbean restaurant, the lunchtime crowd and the evening restaurant. For this we used an AUDAC Luna-F audio matrix processor, which controls the entire sound installation over Dante, including the control panels and the input and output wall panels.
At each pavilion and at the DJ booth we fitted AUDAC NCP105/B control panels to adjust the volume in 4 zones. We also installed 3 AUDAC NWP220/B input/output wall panels at both pavilions and the DJ booth, so the DJ can plug in at different spots. And there are 3 analogue plug-in points on the beach and in the DJ booth, based on CASY wall panels, which come in handy for events with live bands.
On 29 December the big kick-off event took place, with Glennis Grace on the stage on the sundeck, and the sound carried well across the whole venue.

Amplifiers and speakers
For this project we used 5 AUDAC SMQ and PMQ amplifiers with AUDAC ANI44XT Dante/AES67 cards, connected to the Luna Flex matrix processor through a network switch.
Because the site is windy and large, we chose a 100 V system with a large number of outdoor speakers, combined with low-impedance AUDAC VEXO/BASO speakers. In total, 10 zones can be controlled through AUDAC Touch.
AUDAC PMQ600 amplifiers drive the 100 V speakers around the venue. AUDAC SMQ750 amplifiers power the BASO18 subwoofers and the AUDAC WX802s at Pavilion 1. An SMQ1250 drives 4 AUDAC VEXO112 speakers around the DJ booth in weatherproof covers (in the same beige sand colour as the palapas), plus the AUDAC BASO15 subwoofers in Pavilion 1 and 2, with one placed indoors in each.
Under the stairs to the DJ booth there are two 18-inch subwoofers with weatherproof covers and extra protection above them. Four AUDAC VEXO112 speakers around the DJ booth and pool bar add extra sound pressure up at the beach club during events.
In total there are 21 AUDAC WX502MK2/OB speakers at the sundeck beach (6), the beachfront (8), the entrance (4) and the outside of Pavilion 2 (3). In the pavilion there are also 6 AUDAC ATEO6M/B speakers. The AUDAC WX802MK2/OB speakers are inside (5) and outside (7) at Pavilion 1, outside (6) at Pavilion 2, on the sundeck (2) and at the sundeck beach (3). There are also 4 WX802MK2/OW speakers around the pool bar.
At Massive Pro AV we’re proud that our expertise and quality AUDAC equipment helped make Mondi Beach Club Curaçao the ultimate place to relax and enjoy yourself.

Frequently asked questions
Can you install a sound system at a beach club?
Yes. At Mondi Beach Club in Willemstad, Curaçao, we did the fixed AUDAC audio installation across the 2 pavilions, the pool bar, the DJ booth, the beachfront and the sundeck.
How do you deal with wind at an outdoor venue?
At Mondi Beach Club we chose a 100 V system with a large number of outdoor speakers, so no single speaker has to play very loud. The volume can be adjusted per zone, depending on the wind and what’s happening.
Can staff control the volume per area themselves?
Yes. AUDAC NCP105/B control panels at each pavilion and the DJ booth adjust the volume in 4 zones, and in total 10 zones can be controlled through AUDAC Touch.
What is Dante and why do you use it?
Dante sends audio over a standard computer network. At Mondi Beach Club an AUDAC Luna-F matrix processor controls the whole system over Dante, which makes it easier to add inputs, outputs or zones later on.
Can a DJ or a band plug in at different spots?
Yes. There are 3 AUDAC NWP220/B input/output wall panels at both pavilions and the DJ booth, plus 3 analogue plug-in points based on CASY wall panels on the beach and in the DJ booth.
