Keti Koti 2026, 1 July 2026 in Rotterdam on ‘t Schouwburgplein
Some jobs you take on with a bit more pleasure than others. The Keti Koti Festival is one of those.
For anyone who doesn’t know it: Keti Koti means “the chains are broken”. On 1 July 1863 slavery was abolished in the former Dutch colonies. Since then, 1 July has been a day of remembrance and celebration.
For a few years now we’ve done the sound and lighting for the festival on the Schouwburgplein, together with our client Audiorama. Same again this year: an FBT Horizon line array covering the whole square, Allen & Heath at FOH, in-ear monitoring for the bands and lighting that follows the evening. Build the day before, show from 15:00 to 23:00.
Ten acts, one square, hosted by MC Ley. The full programme is in the image.
Will you be there? (entry is free)
