Firmware updates aren’t an exciting topic. But they do matter.
An AV system is never truly “finished”. Manufacturers regularly release updates that fix bugs, improve stability and sometimes add new features you’ll benefit from straight away. Anyone who doesn’t keep their system up to date is leaving performance and functionality on the table that’s already built in.
AUDAC recently released a new round of updates for the Atellio and Consenso families, including a new version of AUDAC Touch (2.14). The updates affect several devices: from the LUNA series and the SMA/Q & PMQ amplifiers to the NMP40, NCP105 and the NWP series.
So what are the main improvements? Better stability, faster operation and a handful of practical new features, such as triggering events directly from a dashboard button in AUDAC Touch. Handy if your system uses automatic scenes or time-based actions. Fixes have also been made for issues with Spotify volumes, audio ticks and a routing bug when applying snapshots.
You’ll find the full list of changes per device on the AUDAC website.
