From corporate events to an art installation at Rotterdam Centraal. We do it all.
Last week we got an unusual request. This one came from an artist. Freerk Wilbers, a Rotterdam visual artist with a background in mechanical engineering from TU Delft, asked us to light his kinetic installation in the main hall of Rotterdam Centraal station. It’s a large, colourful work of moving discs that makes the thousands of travellers who pass through every day stop for a moment.
That’s exactly why we do what we do.
Massive Pro AV works for hospitality businesses, hotels, companies and event organisers. And for artists who want to create something special in a place that really matters. Whether it’s a corporate event, a community gathering, a trade fair or an art project in an iconic station, we think along with you, plan carefully and make sure it’s technically right and looks good.
Freerk Wilbers makes kinetic artworks where movement and light work together in a way you can’t program. The motion comes about by itself, through the laws of physics. Our job was to make sure the light brought out that movement and that the work came into its own in the huge, high station hall.
You can see the result this week as part of Rotterdam Art Week 2026, the five-day, city-wide art festival that turns Rotterdam into one big exhibition from 25 to 29 March. More than 60 venues across the city, most of them free to visit. Worth a look if you’re in the area.

Frequently asked questions
Do you also light art installations?
Yes. For Rotterdam Art Week 2026 we lit the kinetic installation by Freerk Wilbers in the main hall of Rotterdam Centraal. We work for artists as well as for hospitality businesses, hotels, companies and event organisers.
What matters when you light a moving artwork in a large space?
The light has to bring out the movement, and the work has to hold its own in a big, high space like a station hall. That means choosing the right fixtures and positions, and testing on site.
What kinds of projects do you work on?
Corporate events, community gatherings, trade fairs and art projects, among others. We think along with you, plan carefully and make sure it’s technically right and looks good.
When was Rotterdam Art Week 2026?
Rotterdam Art Week 2026 ran from 25 to 29 March, with more than 60 venues across the city, most of them free to visit.
